Within the town there are a number of small independents serving food and drink, here are some of our recommendations;
The Albion Ale House i as free-house pub established by three local micro-breweries with a snug, lounge and bar serving drinks only. Great for a pint and a chat voted, CAMRA Wales Pub of the Year 2013.
A French influenced bistro great for lunch but also open in the evening for dinner, located at the top of a stone staircase above the old cinema on the high street. Bookings call: 01492 583142
An ‘old school’ Italian Restaurant located on Lancaster Square at the top of the High Street. Staff very friendly, serving up the familiar Italian staple dishes, recommend for Dinner, but may need to book as it can get busy. Bookings call: 01492 592381
A modern drinks and tapas bar which opened in 2015 in a grade II listed former bank building on Lancaster Square at the top of the high street.
Go Al Fresco dining and take fish and chips to eat on the quayside arguably the only way if not the not the best way to eat them. There are some great shops in Conwy cooking fresh fish and the perfect chips, the two closest to the quayside are; The Galleon Fish & Chips & Café, at the bottom of High Street and the Fishermans Chip Shop, on Castle Street.
Just turn right out of our doorway and take a few steps up Lower High Street to pickup a fresh cuppa and cake or sit upstairs and watch world passing by in this cosy cafe.
L’s Coffee and Books; a small coffee shop located on the high street serving food, good for lunch and breakfast whilst perusing the small selection books for sale.
Small bistro overlooked by the Town Walls and with an outside courtyard garden which opens during the better weather in the Summer, open for lunch and dinner.
